BREITLING AND ASTON MARTIN IGNITE A SHARED LEGACY
Two icons shaped by a century-long obsession with speed are officially joining forces. Breitling has been announced as the new Official Watch Partner of Aston Martin and the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Team, marking the beginning of a global, multi-year collaboration that bridges handcrafted automotive performance with the precision engineering of elite timekeeping. The partnership launches with a statement piece: the Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Team, a limited-edition watch that celebrates Breitling’s return to Formula 1® and honors Aston Martin’s racing legacy.
A Partnership Rooted in Heritage and Ambition
Aston Martin’s story began in 1913 with founders Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford, whose early racing triumph at the Aston Hill Climb set the tone for a brand built on performance and elegance. Over the decades, Aston Martin has produced some of the world’s most coveted luxury vehicles—from the DB12 and Vantage to the DBX707 and the F1-inspired Valkyrie. Its motorsport pedigree includes a Grand Prix debut in 1922, a historic Le Mans victory in 1959, and a celebrated return to Formula One in 2021 under the leadership of Executive Chairman Lawrence Stroll.
Breitling’s roots in speed run just as deep. In 1907, Leon Breitling introduced the Vitesse, the first chronograph capable of measuring speeds up to 250 miles or kilometers per hour. Its accuracy was so groundbreaking that Swiss police used it to issue the world’s first speeding tickets. By the 1950s and ’60s, Breitling chronographs—especially the Navitimer—had become essential tools for pilots and racing drivers alike, including F1® legends Graham Hill and Jim Clark.
“Aston Martin builds cars that are as much about presence as performance,” says Georges Kern, CEO of Breitling. “We share that same heritage of iconic design: every line, finish, and proportion has purpose.” Lawrence Stroll echoes the feeling: “Our pursuit of a World Championship demands partners who match our ambition. The precision, craftsmanship, and engineering excellence we pursue at Aston Martin Aramco are lived and breathed by Breitling.”
A Modern Formula One™ Force
The Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Team has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years. The opening of the AMR Technology Campus in Silverstone in 2023 signaled a major investment in the team’s future, with a state-of-the-art wind tunnel becoming operational in 2025. The driver lineup blends experience and emerging talent: Lance Stroll and two-time World Champion Fernando Alonso lead the charge, supported by Stoffel Vandoorne, Pedro de la Rosa, and rising stars Jak Crawford, Mari Boya, and Mathilda Paatz. Jessica Hawkins, Head of F1 ACADEMY and Driver Ambassador, guides the next generation.
Off the track, the team continues to champion progress through its I / AM fan platform and Make A Mark ESG program, promoting sustainability, inclusion, and community engagement. Partnerships with Racing Pride, Spinal Track, and the Aleto Foundation reinforce its commitment to accessibility and leadership development, while ISO 50001 certification underscores its dedication to energy efficiency.
The Navitimer Returns to the Track
The first tangible expression of the Breitling–Aston Martin partnership is the Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Team. Limited to 1,959 pieces—a nod to Aston Martin’s first F1® entry—the watch is a fusion of racing DNA and horological innovation.
Key features include:
- A titanium case, the first ever used on a Navitimer, offering strength with minimal weight
- A carbon-fiber dial, inspired by F1® cockpit materials
- Aston Martin Racing Green and lime accents, drawn directly from the team’s livery
- A textured leather strap, reminiscent of a racing harness
- Enhanced nighttime visibility, ensuring legibility in any conditions
Through the sapphire-crystal caseback, the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01 reveals itself—a COSC-certified chronometer with a 70-hour power reserve and a matte-black tungsten rotor designed exclusively for this edition. Engravings include “One of 1959” and “Instruments for Drivers,” underscoring the watch’s motorsport spirit.
A Shared Legacy on the Global Stage
Breitling’s logo will appear on the Aston Martin Aramco car and team apparel beginning with the AMR26 launch on February 9. The partnership will make its on-track debut at the 2026 Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne, with additional exclusive releases planned throughout the multi-year collaboration. From the cockpit to the circuit, from the chronograph to the supercar, Breitling and Aston Martin have long shared a devotion to precision, performance, and the thrill of speed. Now, united formally for the first time, they are poised to shape a new chapter in motorsport and luxury craftsmanship.
