VACHERON CONSTANTIN OVERSEAS DUAL TIME CARDINAL POINTS
The Overseas collection embodies the spirit of discovery and openness that has defined the Maison since its beginnings. For 2026, Vacheron Constantin introduces four new references, the Overseas Dual Time Cardinal Points, crafted entirely from titanium.
These new models continue the lineage of three earlier pieces released in 2019 and 2021. The first was an Overseas Dual Time prototype with a dark grey textured dial and titanium case, created specifically for photographer and explorer Cory Richards and tested during his demanding ascent of Mount Everest. Two limited-edition Overseas “Everest” models followed in 2021—also in titanium and directly inspired by Richards’ prototype: a Chronograph and a Dual Time. The new Overseas Dual Time Cardinal Points appears in four distinct dial tones. Its manufacture movement, Calibre 5110 DT/3, incorporates essential travel functions: dual time, day/night, and date. The Geneva Hallmark certifies the watch’s precision, reliability, and the excellence of its traditional finishing.
Cory Richards reflects on this new series: “What resonates most deeply is the idea that we are constantly in motion. That’s what we as humans do by our very nature. Whether it’s an internal or external journey, it always leads us towards the cardinal points to guide our lives. And in doing so, we not only uncover the world, but also uncover ourselves through that action of exploration.”
Designed for every adventure
The Overseas Dual Time Cardinal Points models were engineered to deliver both exceptional robustness for extreme environments and outstanding comfort on the wrist. The 41mm case, integrated bracelet, and interchangeable folding clasp are all fashioned from titanium, chosen for its strength and featherlight feel. The material’s distinctive look and performance are enhanced by a matte anthracite finish on the bezel, crown, and pusher ring, creating a subtle contrast that emphasises the notched design echoing the Maltese Cross motif of the Overseas bezel.
The watch comes in four dial colours, each tied to a cardinal direction and an evocative landscape: white for the icy North; brown for the continents and vast plains of the South; green for the West, recalling dense forests and tropical jungles; and blue for the East, where sea and sky converge.
A closer examination of the dial reveals a slow unveiling of details. The grained central surface adds texture and reduces glare, contrasting with the light play on the snailed date counter. Two surrounding rings further enrich the composition: a circular satin-finished minutes track and a lacquered seconds track marked every five seconds—a nod to the importance of precision in demanding settings. Orange hands for the second time zone and AM/PM indicator introduce a dynamic contrast, reinforcing the watch’s sporty identity.
A calibre built for travel
The sapphire caseback reveals the self-winding Calibre 5110 DT/3, designed specifically with travellers in mind, enabling simultaneous reading of two time zones. Alongside the local time, an orange arrow-tipped hand shows home time, paired with a matching day/night display. The pointer date at 6 o’clock is linked to local time and adjusted via a dedicated pusher. Both time zones at 12 o’clock can be set by turning the crown in either direction.
A dark grey NAC coating on the bridges mirrors the titanium case and contrasts with the visible gear train and the 22K 3N yellow gold rotor, decorated with the Overseas compass rose.
Finishing techniques include perlage across the mainplate—even on hidden surfaces—demonstrating a commitment to beauty inside and out. The visible bridges feature Côtes de Genève, while hand-bevelled edges create polished facets that catch the light. Some finishes remain unseen once assembled, others shine through the transparent caseback, all reflecting the artisans’ mastery.
One watch, three styles
Created as a true travel companion, the Overseas Dual Time Cardinal Points features an integrated, interchangeable titanium bracelet with a three-blade folding clasp. It incorporates the “Easy-fit” system, enabling quick adjustments without removing links. Two additional rubber straps with interchangeable titanium clasps complete the set: one in orange with a Maltese cross–inspired texture, the other matching the dial colour with its own patterned surface. Each strap can be swapped in seconds without tools.
The Overseas Dual Time Cardinal Points models are available exclusively through Vacheron Constantin boutiques worldwide.
