The attraction of an ice blue dial
My friend Filip from the Breitling Bucharest Squad was so good as to lend me the Breitling Super Chronomat B01 that made its way to the store, so I had the joy and privilege to wear it and test it and photograph it before returning it to the boutique, where it was very promptly sold, as Filip told me it would happen.
A beautiful, strong, impactful piece at 44mm diameter for the steel case, it did not look or feel out of place on my feminine wrist. I particularly liked the ice blue dial and the platinum bezel, whereas the black chronograph counters play on a lively color contrast, without diminishing the legibility of the dial or its incredible color effect.
Breitling has a long and illustrious history of very accurate chronographs and the Super Chronomat B01 makes no exception, with its extremely exact time counting function. The tachymeter is also a welcome addition, whereas the date manages to be at the same time visible and subtle, perfectly integrated into the dial architecture.
The bracelet is rubber – the best choice, in my opinion, for this kind of piece. The caliber is Breitling 01 (Manufacture) automatic, as the Maison is producing high-quality mechanisms.
All in all, it was a joy to get acquainted with the Super Chronomat B01, although short and it has left me wanting more.
