TAG Heuer’s relationship with motorsport extends far beyond sponsorship. Since its inception, the Swiss watchmaker has devoted itself to advancing the science of measuring time. Over 160 years, the manufacture has produced increasingly sophisticated instruments capable of capturing fractions of seconds with remarkable precision. In motorsport, where victories are often determined by the narrowest margins, such expertise has proven indispensable.

Long before the Carrera became a celebrated name in watchmaking, TAG Heuer was already pioneering innovations for drivers and aviators. In 1911, the brand introduced the “Time of Trip”, a dashboard-mounted instrument designed for automobiles and aircraft. Among the most significant developments is the revised case size. Reduced from 44 mm to 42 mm, the new dimensions deliver a far more versatile wearing experience. The shorter lug-to-lug measurement and slimmer profile contribute to a more balanced presence on the wrist, while the reduction in thickness enhances comfort and creates a noticeably cleaner silhouette.

The case itself has been extensively redesigned. Brushed surfaces emphasise its technical character, while sharper transitions between finishes lend the watch a more contemporary appearance. This architectural approach extends to the bezel, where a polished ceramic insert is framed by a visible steel cradle. Comfort remains a key consideration throughout the collection. The redesigned H-shaped steel bracelet now features a tapered construction that improves wearability while offering a more elegant visual flow. A practical tool-free adjustment system allows owners to fine-tune the bracelet at home. The collection debuts with five distinct references, each expressing a different aspect of the Carrera Chronograph Sport personality. Available on either steel bracelet or brown perforated leather strap, it offers perhaps the most balanced expression of sport and elegance.

A rich teal green edition introduces a more contemporary tone, combining metallic depth with racing-inspired details. The silver-dial model embraces the beloved panda configuration, with black counters creating a sharp contrast against the lighter background.
