Bulgari unveiled the new Mediterranea High Jewelry and High-End Watches Collection with an event held in Venice.

Venice, the crossroads of Mediterranean influences, to unveil Mediterranea, was the place where Bulgari unveiled its new High Jewelry and High-end Watches Collection, presenting for the occasion a precious assortment of over 400 one-of-a-kind High Jewelry creations, 90 of them millionaire.

The huge event was staged at Palazzo Ducale, a unique location and one of Venice’s most recognizable symbols, which in 2008 Bulgari contributed to preserve by financing the restoration of the Scala D’oro, the golden staircase unique in the world.

Many international guests, including Bulgari’s Brand Ambassadors Lisa of Blackpink, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Yifei Liu, Hikari Mori, Yang Yang, Lashana Lynch as well as A-list fashion personalities Law Roach and Erin Walsh, deep dived into Bulgari’s universe filled with beauty and wonder.

For the first time, Palazzo Ducale’s loggia hosted an exclusive jewelry show developed under the creative direction of a fashion icon, Carine Roitfeld.

Models, including super model Stella Maxwell, Blesnia Minher and Eva Herzigova, who closed the show, walked on a precious mosaic catwalk developed specifically for the event by Orsoni1888 that was inspired by the brand’s High Jewelry collection. The soundtrack was created by Italian orchestra director Beatrice Venezi, a longtime friend of the jewelry house.

Exalting the beauty of the Mediterranea High Jewelry creations, the models wore luxury shoes by Rene Caovilla, that for the occasion reinterpreted its legendary Cleo sandal, featuring the ankle strap decorated with a snake, also an animal dear to Bulgari, whose iconic Serpenti line celebrates the 75th anniversary this year.

The show was followed by an exclusive gala dinner at Palazzo Ducale’s Sala dello Scrutinio, where tables were decorated with textiles produced for the occasion by Rubelli. Born in Veneto, Michelin-starred chef Massimiliano Alajmo, at the helm of legendary Le Calandre restaurant, that in 2017 received its third Michelin stars, seduced the guests with a menu curated exclusively for the event.

Closing the night on a high note, awarded singer Norah Jones performed a range of her hits, including “Don’t Know Why”, “Come Away with Me” and “Sunrise”.
