The essence of Bell & Ross’ new version of its emblematic BR 03 watch is the inspirational power of evolution and creativity. The entire BR 03 collection shares similarities, but has been taken to a higher level by means of a sophisticated evolution.

The centrepiece of Bell & Ross range, the BR 03 collection synthesises the Maison’s identity and symbolises its style. Since its birth in 1994, the brand has proudly been the ultimate reference in the field of aviation watches, by meeting the demands of professional users in extreme conditions. Its design principles are inspired in aircraft cockpits and aeronautical instrumentation, which ensures first class performance.

Since 2006, the BR 03 has been a steady pillar of the Bell & Ross brand. Its iconic design is directly inspired by an aircraft’s cockpit, with the Maison building on its founding principle of functionality through the iconic “rounded square, four-screw” design that first appeared in 2005 with the BR 01.

Whether embracing a vintage look, cultivating simplicity, taking the high road of sophistication or exploring new aesthetic terrain, the BR 03 has earned its status as an icon. The legendary “circle within a square, held by four screws” that is reminiscent of the silhouette of cockpit clocks, was a brilliant bid. The story goes like this: the BR 01 made its appearance in 2005 with an imposing 46 mm case. In 2006, the 42 mm model was launched with great success. In 2023, the new BR 03 has been reinvented with a 41mm case, proving that everything evolves, but nothing changes.

“With the new BR 03, we modified the proportions of the collection by respecting its canons. Our goal was to preserve the identity that has made the BR 03 so successful, while adapting it to the new times and maintaining its allure,” Bruno Belamich, Bell & Ross’ co-founder and Creative Director, said.

Going from 42mm to 41mm, the smaller case size resolutely changes the visual finish of the watch. Capable of detecting seemingly inconsequential details, the eye immediately perceives these reduced dimensions. The same goes for the thinner lugs: 4mm compared to 4.5mm previously, with a new faceting effect. The change also manifests in the rounded corners of the case being softened and the hands adjusted.

The new BR 03 watch joins a complete collection already bringing together several models, all powered by the latest BR-CAL.302 automatic movement, an extended power reserve of 54 hours and water resistant to 100m.

The new BR 03 collection presents 6 iconic designs revisited: three models with a black ceramic case – Black Matte, Phantom and Heritage, with a resolutely retro look, and three versions in polished steel – Black Steel, Blue Steel and Golden Heritage – with black, blue and brown dials, respectively.

Two new timepieces complete the collection: one model equipped with a copper dial (BR 03 COPPER), and a version in khaki-coloured ceramic (BR 03 MILITARY).
