Chopard introduces the Mille Miglia GTS Power Control Grigio-Blu – 2026 Racing Edition, a numbered limited edition of 250 pieces that distils the Maison’s passion for motorsport into a purposeful design.

The Mille Miglia GTS Power Control Grigio‑Blu – 2026 Racing Edition expresses precision, dependability and the unmistakable character of Italian racing. Chopard unveils this numbered series of 250 pieces, capturing the Maison’s long‑standing passion for motorsport in a design built for purpose. Endurance, clarity and mechanical accuracy define this new Mille Miglia chronometer, which feels fully modern while remaining rooted in the legacy of the Italian race Chopard has supported since 1988.

Its 43 mm Lucent Steel™ case immediately conveys strength, with compact, ergonomic lugs that ensure a secure and comfortable presence on the wrist. The screw‑down crown, decorated with a steering‑wheel motif, reinforces its identity as a driver’s instrument. With water resistance to 100 metres, the watch is engineered to perform reliably in a wide range of conditions.

The Grigio‑Blu dial takes cues from classic racing dashboards. Made of brass with a textured blue‑grey surface, it subtly evokes the look of road asphalt. Bold, assertive numerals enhance readability, while the power‑reserve display echoes the appearance of a fuel gauge, extending the automotive inspiration. Time is indicated by broad faceted hands and applied metallic markers, all treated with black Super‑LumiNova® for visibility in any light. A semi‑instantaneous date display completes the practical layout.

Inside the watch beats the Chopard calibre 01.08‑C, an in‑house automatic movement certified as a chronometer by the COSC. Operating at 4 Hz, it offers a 60‑hour power reserve and includes a stop‑seconds mechanism for precise setting.

The watch is fitted with a technical black textile strap, reinforced on the inside with a rubber lining for comfort and longevity. The discreet tyre‑tread pattern on the lining subtly recalls the racing world that inspires the collection.

This edition blends confident design, advanced functions and mechanical expertise, and is offered exclusively within the Italian retail network and Chopard boutiques worldwide. As Karl‑Friedrich Scheufele explains, the intention behind the Mille Miglia GTS Power Control Grigio‑Blu – Racing Edition is to express modern endurance through reliability, clarity and precision, paired with a strong contemporary aesthetic.

Chopard’s Mille Miglia line reflects the Maison’s deep connection to motorsport, born from its partnership with the legendary Italian endurance rally once described by Enzo Ferrari as “the most beautiful race in the world.” Since 1988, Chopard has served as World Sponsor and Official Timekeeper, and Karl‑Friedrich Scheufele has participated every year since 1989. The first watch created for the collaboration laid the foundation for one of the brand’s most recognisable collections, with each annual edition becoming a sought‑after piece for collectors. Over nearly four decades, the collection has united high‑performance chronograph mechanics with a refined style that appeals far beyond racing enthusiasts.

Alongside the yearly Race Edition, the line includes special releases honouring iconic stages such as the Raticosa Pass, historic racing colours, legendary drivers like Jacky Ickx and Sir Stirling Moss, and even renowned coachbuilders such as Zagato. These tributes have helped cement the collection’s status among collectors.

The spirit of the Mille Miglia race shapes the entire design language of the collection, from dashboard‑inspired displays to piston‑style pushers, perforated leather straps, rubber straps with tyre‑tread patterns, steering‑wheel‑engraved crowns, the signature red arrow, and on some models, a glass‑box crystal that adds vintage charm and exceptional legibility.

Chopard’s Lucent Steel™, made with an 80% recycling rate, is produced through an advanced remelting process that yields a pure, luminous and hypoallergenic alloy with hardness comparable to surgical steel. Introduced in 2019 with the Alpine Eagle collection, it has been used for all Chopard steel watches since 2023. Every Mille Miglia movement undergoes COSC testing, which evaluates uncased movements for 15 days in five positions and three temperature ranges, ensuring a daily variation between –4 and +6 seconds.

Chopard’s long‑time motorsport ambassadors Jacky Ickx and Romain Dumas embody excellence and endurance. Ickx, a six‑time Le Mans winner and close friend of Karl‑Friedrich Scheufele, has been connected to the Maison for more than thirty years. Dumas, known for record‑setting performances and technical mastery, represents Chopard during his most demanding challenges, reflecting the brand’s dedication to performance and precision.
