AUDEMARS PIGUET INAUGURATES MANUFACTURE DU BRASSUS
The 23,700 m² building, known as the Arc, unites the brand’s local manufacturing teams in a single location, reinforcing its long‑standing commitment to the Vallée de Joux. Built to prioritize adaptability, employee well‑being, and environmental responsibility, the Minergie‑ECO® certified site is designed to support the company’s long‑term vision and future growth.
A BOLD INITIATIVE BUILT ON TEAMWORK
Since the era of the Établissage system—a network of craftsmen and workshops specializing in individual watch components—Audemars Piguet has championed collaboration while cultivating individual expertise. Staying true to this heritage, the new facility was conceived to bring together the brand’s technical departments, previously spread across the region, under one roof.
Created by the Geneva architecture studio de Giuli & Portier and constructed by Alpenda SA, the project was completed within three years of receiving its 2019 building permit. Inspired by Industry 4.0 principles, the structure offers a highly adaptable layout that can evolve with the company’s needs. Designed to host up to 700 employees, the space features abundant natural light, open work areas, transparent partitions, and numerous meeting rooms to encourage communication and creativity. Quiet zones and traditional offices provide privacy and focus when needed, giving employees the freedom to choose their ideal work environment.
The building’s electrochromic glass façade automatically adjusts its tint based on sunlight and temperature, ensuring comfort without compromising natural light or views of the surrounding landscape.
ROOTED IN TRADITION, READY FOR TOMORROW
The centralization of production will enable Audemars Piguet to gradually expand its manufacturing capacity through improved workflows and cutting‑edge equipment. Automation will take over certain repetitive tasks, allowing artisans to dedicate more time to the highly skilled work that defines the brand.
With this new site, Audemars Piguet continues to evolve its craftsmanship for the modern era while preserving the watchmaking traditions of the Vallée de Joux. The Manufacture’s investment strengthens not only the region’s economic development but also its cultural and community life.
